Made With Love in Oregon

I'm so glad you stopped by to learn a little more about me and my journey.

2014:

I ordered supplies to make my very first batch of soap! I had found a recipe for Honey & Dandelion soap from a maker named Jan Berry, aka, The Nerdy Farm Wife & decided that's the one I wanted to try first. I gathered my supplies and headed to Oakridge, Oregon for a weekend of soap making with my friend Lindsey. We both enjoyed it so much, we soon had our own soap businesses & even did a huge country music festival together. So much fun!

After a few years of this I ended up putting my soap business on the back burner due to a full plate at home. At the time I was working part time at our local hospital & homeschooling our 3 kids.

Before I shut the business down, my wonderful husband had a workshop built for me to make my soap in right here on our property. Over the 5 years that I wasn't actively selling I continued to create my soapy goodness for friends & family.

2022, January:

We moved my father-in-law over to our place. Due to health reasons, he was no longer able to live on his own & needed 24-hour care. Soon after the move, I left my hospital job & became a certified caregiver. Since I was home most of the time & my kids were enrolled in school, I decided to slowly get back into soap making again as a business.

2022:

I joined a small farmers market in Coquille, Oregon & also did a special event here & there when I was able.

2023:

My goal was to join the Coos Bay Downtown Farmers Market. What a great experience that was! Lot's of learning was had & I look forward to many more market seasons in the future!

On November 1st of 2023 my father-in-law passed away. That season was hard, but I am glad that I was able to be there & witness his strength & positive outlook on life in those hard times. Jesus was his rock & that was evident every day that passed by.

2024:

Is a whole new season. This is the first time that I have had the chance to do this soap thing full time & I am so grateful for the opportunity! A big thank you to all of my family, friends & customers who have supported me along my journey!! I wouldn't be here without you.

Thank you for joining me on this journey. I am thrilled to share my passion, love, and creations with all of you.

With soapy goodness and a heart full of gratitude,

Jessica Hartley
